We are pleased to announce the launch of a new site for Farcountry Press.
For over 45 years, Farcountry has been publishing works that explore the beauty and richness of the western American landscape out of their family-owned operation in Helena, Montana. Their strong emphasis on customer service and partnerships meant their website needed to serve several distinct markets: book buyers, custom publishing creators (via the Sweetgrass Books program), and wholesalers/retailers ready to place bulk orders.
We created a design that is deeply rooted in Farcountry’s sense of place and brings together the different sides of the publishing program and sales needs. A custom retail/wholesale purchasing portal allows retailers to sign up for an account and place bulk orders directly through the site (look out for more on this in the coming months). A dedicated section for Sweetgrass allows the custom publishing side of the business to shine. And, multiple custom category schemes (including the ability to now browse by region, state, or national park) allow the press to maximize discovery and really showcase their unique catalogue.
“We’re excited to have the new Farcountry Press site live,” says Marketing Specialist Hilary Page. “It’s already making it easier for our partners to browse, connect with our team, and place orders, and the early feedback has been very positive.”
We would like to thank Farcountry Press for their collaboration on this project. They worked with us every step of the way and that collaboration was instrumental in bringing our shared vision for the new site to life.
